Chemist and engish-hungarian specialized translator (1996). Director of Institute Food Science Innovation Centre at Kaposvár University. He obtained various experiences as the leader of the Food Science Research Institute of the National Agricultural Research and Innovation Centre’s Institute for Food Sciences, EGERFOOD Regional Knowledge Centre, Integrated Research and Service Centre at Eszterházy Károly College. He has several honours and scholarships and had study tours in Leiden, Edinburgh, Dortmund, Palermo, Dijon, Lisbon and Missoula (USA). The scientific topics of his interest are the food chemistry, transformation processes of bioactive components of foodstuffs, functional foodstuffs of health-promoting effects and food safety issues and quality management.

Managed a self-sustained, self-financed food science research institute (EGERFOOD Regional Knowledge Centre). He took part in the compilation, coordination and implementation of 31 Hungarian and EU-financed innovation projects of total worth beyond 4,6 billon HUF. He was national, delegated expert in Programme Committee in Brussels on „Food security and sustainable agriculture”.

Managed newly developed products, made ready their release on the market, developed marketing plans, business plans, utilization concepts. Developed communication strategies, implemented media- and information campaigns. Created 9 patents and 79 professional, international scientific publications. His impact factor is 71,7. Delivers regularly talks on Hungarian and international conferences (272 times).
